Solicitors permitting, we will soon be moving to the island from the mainland, initially the home will be a weekend holiday home, then after retirement, our full time residence.
Clearly in the short term we will be crossing the water a lot, mostly Southampton to East Cowes and back, and we have experienced the joys of the costs etc already, however, I seem to recall reading or hearing somewhere that there are cheaper tickets / deals for residents.
Is this the case or was I dreaming?
Look forward to your answers and any suggestions on reducing these costs.
Thanks

| I am sure it's cheaper to travel on Red Funnel from IOW to Southampton well it certainly is on the red jet so would imagine it to be on the car ferry too. Wightlink definitely do cheaper fares for IOW residents. |
