Honeymoon Help!

Hello all!

So, the soon to be mrs has given me the task of booking our honeymoon for May. I run my own business and she works with me, so we don't want to go too far away from home as we will need occasional internet access throughout the week. (We then plan on going carribean for two weeks in the summer when our work naturally dies down)

I really like the look of Ventnor - found a nice hotel, some restaurants etc but I wanted to come here to see what the general consenus was from people who know the area better than myself.

Do you think it could make a decent honyemoon location in May for five days for a young couple? We were looking for nice beach, quality food, nice hotel, reasonably good shopping and things to see and do.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Ventnor does have a certain charm, but if it was my choice (knowing the IW pretty well) I would probably plump for Shanklin or Sandown as they have a bit more going on in terms of night life and shopping.

Having said that there are some excellent hotels in Ventnor, with awesome food (Royal Hotel springs to mind).
