Hello, I am a trainee journalist in Portsmouth and looking for islanders opinions on the closures and cuts of public services/tourist attractions. Examples such as the closure of public toilets and libraries all over the island are understandably a concern to residents but do you think the council could make cuts in other areas that would have less effect to residents?

Also as tourism is such a significant source of income and trade for the island, do many of you believe that public attractions and facilities should be invested in more?

If you could supply a list of proposed cuts/closures that you know of, that would be of assistance.

Is this a fair assessment of life on the island and could this be due to lack of investment by the council?

Thanks.
