1970 Music Festival Exhibition in Swansea - call for help

Hi

We are following up our exhibition of Charles Everest's photographs from the 1970 Festival last year at Dimbola, by putting up an even bigger one in Swansea Museum from Sept this year for 3 months!! (We know how to punish ourselves Laughing

)

We need some extra material for an audio visual experience which we are adding to it. Some of it will be voice-overs for a short video show, and other parts will be photos and written down to incorporate in the wall displays.

If anyone has any memories of the event to either amuse or jog some emotion, I would love it if you could contact me at glenyseverest@virginmedia.com

If there is anyone who remembers it not in a particularly good light, I would still be very grateful for your contribution, as Charles was present at a few of the local meetings pre-festival with his camera, and it is only fair that we cover all aspects of the weeks leading up to the event too!

If you have any snapshots of yourself at the event which you don't mind being used, we are thinking of making a display up to show who went, with bits of their stories included in the image. The copyright would remain yours. It may appear as an image on the web site once it is composited into the final illustration, but will not be for sale.

I hope this isn't too long-winded, and I'd love to hear from you all asap, as we only have a few weeks to get this up and running - as normal, with things up here, everthing is running at the last minute!!

Hi Again
The date for our ehib is getting close and we are still on the lookout for memories of the 1970 Festval for our 3 months at the Swansea Museum, in their main hall/gallery. I don't mind if they are good or bad memories as we want to portray the mixed feelings that were present at the event. We hope to put a collage print up if anyone wants to email me jpgs of themselves on Afton Down that weekend, which we will then put up next to a collage of the 2010 festival to show that things really haven't changed when it comes to festival spirit!!
