Disability Issues

I would like to hear from anyone who is a wheelchair user, an assisted wheelchair user, has a mobility impairment, uses a hearing system, has a sight impairment and who has issue with shops, services, business' (public and privately owned), pavements and roads (such as dropped kerbs, or the lack of). In fact the lack of any aide to make the lives of disabled people easier, or were provision of such aides has been made, making live easier.

Boots in Ventnor will soon have their access system fully installed and the Post Office in Ventnor is also to have a similar access system installed.
Also Ventnor Haven Fishery is to have the front of their premises adapted, adding ramped access. Though this is because they are in breach of new build building regs. There was ramped access in the original design, but the owner of the building breached the regs and didn't put the access in. A County Council buildings officer has informed them that this has to be corrected.
