Hi,

I'm coming to the IOW in the summer. But I'm not quite sure which part to stay.

I'm coming with my partner, no children. We're looking for recommendations for a good hotel / BnB and also looking for ideas of where to stay. We want somewhere that's quite picturesque but lively.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try the Bembridge Coast Hotel.........

For Adults only so no screaming kids, and also has a great seaview.

Hope this helps

Another recommendation:

Inglewood Guest House in Sandown.

It's less than 5 minutes away from the beach, has a Co Op store opposite, clean, comfy and very very friendly.

I've stayed here about four times and I have never been disappointed. Teresa now treats me as a friend, rather than a regular. It's one of those places that will go out of their way to help.

I'm hoping to come over and live shortly, and will miss staying here.

Their E mail address is inglewooduk@yahoo.co.uk

HI....we've just returned from Ryde and stayed at Seahaven House/Hotel....couldn't recommend it highly enough.

No kids, seaview rooms and just about as cheap as you'll stay anywhere (in hotel standard). I think it was under £50 per night for a sea-view room....and cheaper if you weren't bothered.

50 yards from the beach...one minute walk into town....and the same for public transport to the rest of the island.

Some terrific bars and pubs all within a two-minute walk....oh, and some really quaint little eateries as well.

Bembridge Coast is part of the Warners group. Personally wouldn't recommend it. But depends on what type of holiday you want really. There is "entertainment" on most evenings - bingo, caberet etc etc. but I find that these are very expensive holidays and that there are much cheaper hotels available on the Island.
