Very Happy very impressed with a unbooked meal on valentines at the ponda rosa, my partner and i got a table and was pleasantly surprised at the choice of food offered, aswell as the set meal, and for once we had the set menu as we could actually choose something from each course. good value - good service - good food - very highly recommended to all !!

St Helens Restaurant and Ganders Restaurant both overlooking St Helens Green are worth a visit. We have always had very nice meals in both.
You will have to book though.

I went to St Helens last week for the first time - must say won't be going back! If you like rich food and not much of it then this is the place for you. Unfortunately I found it very difficult to find things to eat (I ended up with steak and chips!) as most of the choices had cream, mushrooms or nuts as part of the ingredients. I was just relieved that I wasn't paying!

Had a very nice meal at the Garlic Farm last week...worth a try. Two people sent compliments to the chef while we were there.
