Well do you!?
I taught Biology for 28 years and am concerned that many people have a confused understanding of such a, literally life changing discovery. I am interested to see how many people consider this issue and the impact it has on our lives once you really grasp its simple theory and understand its implications |

I'm afraid Tuco, that there is only one truth and that is of The Lord. God created man in his own image, and man has always been that way. We have not evolved from apes, and it is an insult to the Lord that we should ever claim otherwise. It always saddens me to think that so many people have been swept up by this conspiracy of evolution. In fact, it is common knowledge that this whole theory of evolution was meerly concocted by Stalin and his communist movement in the early 1940's as a tool to undermine religion and create an athiest motherland. Unfortunately this evolutionary lie has been adopted by many persons around the world.
This mass herecy will be the end of the world. As more and more people fall under Lucifers athiest spell, the boundrys of hell are moving upwards. This is in turn causing the climate change, evidenced by the melting of the polar ice caps and a rise in sea level.
I implore you to discover the truth and save yourself before your day of judgement.
I shall pray for you. |

To Tuco444,
At last an intelligent and vital subject, but alas spoilt by another deluded individual like mavis67!!!!
Can someone please reassure me this is not representive of the intelectual standards of the islands population!!
Mavis, I am NOT an atheist, but you have no ideaon what your missing out on. I won't waste my time arguing with you but please recognise your opinions are entirely fear based because you feel the foundations of your beleif threatend. No beliver has any need to be afraid of evoultionary theory. |

Sorry Tuco,
I allowed myself to get distracted by mavis reply. Like naylorpitt, attitudes like that are a red rag to a bull to me! I need to chill.
This is of course an important year for Darwins amazing work, with a plethora of programmes recently on TV. I have been gripped my the one presented by Andrew Marr and the progammes fronted by David Attenborough recently. My knowledge of the theory prior to that was limited to say the least. I love science and am very much a layman. My own interest is more in the fields of cosmology/physics/quantum theory which I find fascinating. As a biologist what's your view? What do you feel about the worrying growth in 'creationism' for example which angers and frightens me! |

Just so you know I just spent half an hour repeatedly hitting myself around the head with a rock, but it didnt make it any better. I wont respond to you directly, beause theres no point, simply answer me this simple question,
Have you ever been perscribed antibiotics? and did you complete the course? |

To Einsteinsghost, as i'm sure you are aware, the good book states quite clearly in john iv 18, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.

Evolution to me means that...
We come from the sea and will probably all end up back in it |

Bit beyond my educational vocation this one, But I have been watching Darwin on the box, and found it quite fascinating. The guy was far ahead of his time, coming up with theories and answers that no-one of that day could argue with But all the same was correct to a degree that we still to this day find hard to dismiss. I feel that we have come to the end of evolution as we know it The world strives on perfection, and there is little room for error, and all errors are eradicated as far as we are able to deploy. When the cure for a disease is found, 4 or 5 other raise there ugly heads. So evolution will be halted by us, be it by destruction or deceases, over population puts a strain on everyone's resources, until this is slowed and man learns to live in peace, we can only wait to see which direction man chooses to send evolution. For the sake of our grand and great grandchildren lets hope the world leaders cease to strive for independent power and work toward international survival. |
