We are a couple looking to buy a house on the island - not quite sure where yet, probably somewhere between Bembridge and Ryde, the closer to the sea the better. I gather that the IoW is among the riskiest areas in the country for floods - see this article for instance:

My question to any of you residents around the coastal areas: do you have any trouble getting house insurance, or are you asked to pay much higher insurance premiums? |
