Advice on buying holiday let business

Hi all
Just joined this splendid forum and hoping for some help/advice..comments, anything really.

Like a lot of people we are fed up with pace of life - even here in rural Kent and are hoping to retire soon. We are in our late 50's and only the 2 of us now at home - kids all settled.

We have been looking to buy a property - preferably a bungalow with enough land to have a couple of holiday lets on and have been looking for about a year.

Now, out of the blue the hubby has seen just the place on I of W....near to Wootton area and I am looking for info about this area and also do you think there is still scope to run this type of business there. We just need small income from it to keep pension topped up.

I don't know much about I of W apart from a holiday there many many years ago so not sure if the place is saturated with holiday accommodation already. We hoping to provide nice up market self catering lets....any thoughts?

Also any info on standard of health care on Island would be great.
