Hi,
Wondered if anyone here knew anything about the dis-used former church of St Thomas's in Ryde? It stands in some lovely grounds if a little neglected. The Church itself is closed and apparently unused. I got talking to a local recently, who told me it had been awarded money from the Heritage Lottery Fund some time ago in order to upgrade and reopen it as some sort of community facility but that someone had done a runner with the grant money! Have tried finding info on the web but saw nothing really which explains what happened or plans for any future use. It seems such a waste of a lovely building. |

| I would also like to hear more. It would make a fantastic community project, clearing and restoring the site. |
