HEALTHY EATING AND PHYSICAL EXERCISE – YOUR VOICE

NHS Isle of Wight are currently conducting research into healthy eating and physical exercise and would like to hear your views.

We will be holding a number of group discussions during the week of the 15th March 2010 and are looking for participants who are willing to share their opinions. If you are aged between 45-65 years old and live in the areas of Newport, Ventnor and Ryde then we would like to hear from you. Your views are important in shaping the activities and services that will be delivered in these areas.

We have commissioned a team at Forster, an independent company, to carry out this research on our behalf. This is to ensure that the opinions you give, will remain confidential. The discussion group will take no longer that 1.5 hours and we are offering £15.00 vouchers as a thank-you to those that take part. The venue will be in a central location in Ryde, Newport or Ventnor.

If you are interested in attending a discussion group and having the opportunity to share your opinions on the current and future services on the island then please contact Ella Sunyer on 020 7403 2230 / 07859 078 932 or you can email her on: ella@forster.co.uk.

Thank you for your help.

With the state of the NHS, is this a wise use of funds?

The waiting lists for what were once run of the mill simple operations and procedures are getting longer due to cuts and yet there's money for research. I'm all for preventative medicine, but let's get the basics back to how they should be first.
