Your probably quite correct, and the post you quoted is from my experience of the first month of around 100 interviews, when I left school.
My parents didn't want me to leave school, but at 16 I was sick to death of it and wanted to work. The only jobs available at the time were created by the Government's Youth Training Scheme program. One years work then bye bye and the employer takes on someone else.
The interviews weren't just pleasant chats, but laced with stupid questions, whereby the answer given is psychoanalysed.
The dumbest of these was "Why do you want to work for us?"
Mention money and you're out the door, but if you edify the company, then you'll move on to more stupidity.
"Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?"
In the Caribbean surrounded by scantily clad girls, doesn't cut the mustard. Again you must edify the company. Answer the question as though the job is for life.
I got fed up with these games and is why I turned the tables on the interviewer. |
